One of the last projects we did for print media was make a business card and I went the non tradtional look by instead of having the logo on a small portion on the card, I used the entire logo as the card itself. The logo itself is my initials JDP built up in Illustrator. And the card is front and back and folds over.

Vector Car

Program: Illustrator
Size: 7.683' x 3.262'

In this project we had to take a picture of an object and build it up in Illustrator using the pen tool. I did a toy car that I had. It was time consuming but the final project shows the work that went into it.

What we did is we took the picture, imported into Illustrator. Then using it as a template, I then traced over it with the pen tool in Illustrator and started building it up in layers.

We later used the image to create a billboard.

CD Cover and Back

One of the first projects I had to do was to create a CD case front and back and have it fit into the case seemlessly. I created a fake band and designed it around that. Since the name of the band was car themed, I kept the coverart car themed to have a flow to it.

For this project we were given ads to remake into better ideas and I made two different ones. The as I was given was for the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. Which was pretty plain and I created two very different looks, one more on par with film award ceremonies and the other which suites an independent film festival.

For a project for the print media students, we had to create giveaway materials for a convention and I came up with a series of engery can labels that I overlaid on cans. I incorporated overlies which we had just learned and I was very good at it.

Except for the images I created everything in Illustrator from the bar code to the nutritional menu.
